Ronald Podmilsak founded PGTEK in 2000 to provide IT professional services and geospatial analysis to the U.S. Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense. That same year, his son Scott Podmilsak founded Strategic Business Systems, Inc. (SBS), an IT Infrastructure services firm. Scott Podmilsak and his management team had tremendous success and in 2008 he sold SBS to Brocade Communications (NASDAQ: BRCD). In 2010 Scott Podmilsak joined PGTEK as the Chief Executive Officer and board member. Upon joining, Scott reassembled the relevant executive team that he had created at SBS. Together again, this seasoned team of executives have been applying the lessons learned in technology, operations, customer service, and employee morale to create a firm that greatly surpasses their last endeavor. Today, PGTEK is an industry leader in geospatial and datacenter technologies servicing both the commercial and federal market segments with innovative solutions.
Mr. Podmilsak is CEO and Chairman of the Board of PGTEK. He joined the firm in 2010 and possesses over 20 years of information technology executive experience. Previously, he founded Strategic Business Systems, Inc. (SBS) an IT services firm in 2000 and grew the startup to annual sales of nearly $50 million. In 2008 Brocade Communications (NASDAQ: BRCD) acquired SBS from Mr. Podmilsak. In the late 90s and early 2000s he worked as a senior systems engineer for Booz Allen Hamilton and American Management Systems (AMS) where he held numerous advanced technical certifications. Mr. Podmilsak graduated from James Madison University with a BBA in Business Finance and Computer Information Systems (CIS).
Vice President, IT Accounts
Mr. Bollar joined PGTEK in 2012 and leads the IT Infrastructure Group. He brings to the firm over 18 years of technology industry experience ranging from technical consulting roles to executive leadership. In the early 2000s he worked for Mr. Podmilsak at Strategic Business Systems (SBS) where he served as the Director of Business Development. Mr. Bollar started his career in 1997 as a systems engineer for Digital Equipment Corporation; he excelled in sales leadership positions with industry giants Compaq and Hewlett-Packard. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems from James Madison University.
Senior Partner Manager
Mr. Clark joined PGTEK in 2015 and is Director of Partner Management. He brings over 20+ years of “professional services” business development experience within the information technology industry. Mr. Clark worked for Mr. Podmilsak at Strategic Business Systems (SBS) where he was a senior account executive responsible for strategic account management. Mr. Clark attended and played basketball at Cincinnati State College, Thomas More College and afterwards professionally in Europe. Mr. Clark holds a degree in Computer Information Systems as well as certifications in multiple technology hardware, software, and service solutions.
Director of Federal Operations
Mr. Hempstead has over 20 years of federal information technology industry experience. He joined PGTEK in 2010 as a Software/Systems Engineer while concurrently serving as a Program Manager for a major Intelligence Community (IC) contract. In 2013, Mr. Hempstead was named Director of PGTEK’s Federal Services Group. He holds a B.S. in Business Information Systems and an MBA with a concentration in Information Technology, both of which he earned from Virginia Tech. Mr. Hempstead previously worked as a Software Engineer for both CACI and General Dynamics.
Mr. Pont graduated from Brigham Young University School of Accounting and has been a Controller for 28 years in the professional contracting and manufacturing industries. Mr. Pont was licensed as a CPA in the 1980s while working for Arthur Anderson. Mr. Pont also served as a Controller at Fluke, and at Liberty Safe during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Mr. Pont joined PGTEK in 2012 where he currently serves as Director of Finance and as Controller.
Vice President, Emerging Accounts
Mr. Rowland joined PGTEK in 2010 as Vice President of Emerging Accounts. He brings to PGTEK over 25 years of IT and entrepreneurial experience. Mr. Rowland worked with Mr. Podmilsak at Strategic Business Systems (SBS) and was instrumental in the startup phase of the firm. He then went on to found The Longitude Group in Atlanta, a successful recruiting and staffing firm specializing in Information Technology. Mr. Rowland attended college at Radford University.
